Unarmed tree to 20 m tall. Leaves compound with 5-13 leaflets, usually 9, smallest at base, largest at apex. Flowers in leaf axils, trumpet shaped, greenish-white, 2.5-5.5 cm long. Fruits c. 11 cm long, ovoid, surface warty.
Ecology
Lowland forest in river banks.
Distribution
S Thailand, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo (Sabah).
Uses
Wood is handsome and valuable. However not common enough for timber exploitation.
