Description

Small deciduous tree to 15 m tall. Leaves 10-15 cm long, trifoliate. Flowers greenish white, scented, in axillary clusters. Fruits 5-20 cm across, globose, green or greyish then yellow.

Subtropical monsoonal climate.

India.

Uses

Fruits are edible, eaten raw or made into jam and drinks, used as traditional medicine. Flowers are distilled to make perfumes.
