Small evergreen tree to 10 m tall with dense spreading bushy crown. Leaves 9-26 cm long, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, opposite. Flowers 5-10 cm across, large pom-pom shaped, white with yellow tinge, in terminal clusters. Fruits 2.5-5 cm across, globose to ovoid, ripening white to pale yellow.
