Description

Shrub or small evergreen tree to 4 m tall with wide spreading crown and thin trailing branches. Leaves narrowly linear, 5-7 cm long. Flowers solitary, axillary, 5 mm across, white. Fruits urn-shaped, 3-4 mm across, woody, ripening dark brown before dehiscing to disperse seeds.


Ecology

Along watercourses in sandstone gorges.

Distribution

Endemic in Northern Territory of Australia.

Uses

Widely planted as ornamental.
