Description

Deciduous strangling tree to 30 m tall with spreading lanky branches and few aerial roots. Leaves 8-24 cm long on long slender petioles, simple spirally arranged or clustered at the end of the twigs, elliptic-oblong. Figs 1-1.5 cm on slender stalk, globose to slightly pear-shaped, ripening pink to dark maroon with whitish patches.


Ecology

Coastal areas on rocky boulders and open areas.

Distribution

Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia and W Indonesia.
