Small tree to 12 m tall. Leaves 12.5-25 cm long, elliptic or ovate with distinct tri-nerve base, coarsely toothed. Figs pear or apple-shaped, 2.75-6.3 cm across, green ripening yellow to red with green spots arranged in big clusters on the trunk and main branches on woody knobs or stout leafless woody twigs.
