Description

Large tree reaching 42 m tall, 75 cm diam. Leaves 6-14 cm long, elliptic, oblong to narrowly obovate, softly hairy below. Flowers in clusters in leaf axils. Fruits ovoid-oblong, 1.5 cm long.

Ecology

Lowland forest.

Distribution

S Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo, the Phlippines and Sulawesi; possibly New Guinea

Uses

Timber is used in house construction under cover.
