Description

Evergreen tree to 20 m tall with rounded or irregular crown. Leaves 15-30 cm long with7-10 pairs of leaflets. Flowers 2.5-37.7 cm long, bright yellow, in cluster at the end of twigs. Fruits 15-30 cm long, slightly curved, flattened with wavy surface, strap-shaped.

Ecology

Widespread in secondary growth and open areas.

Distribution

Myanmar, Thailand, Indo-China and possibly northern Peninsular Malaysia.

Uses

Often cultivated in villages as ornamental.
