Small tree to c. 10 m tall with slender branches and flattened foliage of fern-like foliage. Leaves 15-22 cm long, 18-30 pairs of leaflets with a distinctive conical nectary between the lowest pair of leaflets. Flowers c. 3 cm long, golden yellow in terminal branched cluster of flowers. Fruits strap-shaped with raised lines, 30-60 seeds per pod.
