Description

Evergreen tree to c. 30 m tall with thick crown. Leaves 13-25 cm long with 3-4 pairs of leaflets. Flowers at end of branched clusters, c. 0.6 cm long, white tinged pale-yellow inside. Fruit flat pod, indehiscent, with 1-3 seeds, pale green ripening pale brown.

Ecology

Lowland deciduous forest.

Distribution

Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

Uses

Occasionally planted as street trees. The timber is highly valued, threatening native population with illegal logging and trafficking.
