Description

Small tree to 15 m tall with open irregularly shaped crown. Leaves to 60 cm length, trilobed, deeply peltate. Male flowers in dense branched clusters, grey, hairy; female flowers in similar cluster but smaller. Fruits c. 8 cm long, strongly 2-lobed, yellow without spines or horns.


Ecology

Common in moist secondary growth.

Distribution

S Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo and Sulawesi.
