Evergreen tree to 25 m tall. Leaves 8-25 cm long, ovate to elliptic, margin wavy, shallowly rounded teeth. Flowers 1-1.3 cm across, white, in dense racemes at leaf axils, petals deeply and finely fringed. Fruits 2-3 cm long, spherical to oval or ellipsoid, ripening olive green to yellowish brown, endocarp rugose. Like the typical variety but fruits much larger 5-7 cm long, endocarp smooth.
