Shrub to small tree, 2-8 m tall, deciduous. Cut stem exude white sap. Leaves strap-like, clustered at the end of branches. Flowers fragrant, white with a yellow eye.

Puerto Rico, Lesser Antille.
Uses
Cultivated as an ornamental for its large white fragrant flowers.
