Pulai Peninpu Paya
Description
Tree to 50 m, diameter to 70 cm, base fluted or with buttresses. Leaves in whorls of 3 (rarely 4), obovate. Flowers in dense clusters, fragrant, corolla pale yellow, rusty pubescent outside. Fruits in paired follicles.
Ecology
In lowland to hill dipterocarp forests to 800 m altitude, often in seasonally swampy forest, sometimes in peat forest.
Distribution
Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore and Borneo.
