Description

Deciduous tree to 30 m tall with graceful feathery crown and slender buttressed trunk. Leaves compound, c. 30 cm long, clustered near end of twigs, 3-5 pairs of leaflets with terminal leaflet. Flowers tiny, white in terminal clusters. Fruits 2-2.5 cm long, ellipsoid, yellow green ripening brown with pale dots with 1 large seed.


Ecology

Lowland forest.

Distribution

S Thailand and NW Pen. Malaysia (Langkawi).

Uses

Timber moderately durable. Fruits are edible after boiling.
